people who takes the grandfinal seriously dont wanna get disrupted and avoids the noise as much as possible we get it but that was not the main reason the main channel had more viewers last night. when it comes to grandfinals valorant main channel literally starts streaming an hour and a half ago and thats EVERYTHING. just like before it helped them to build up the viewership without any competition and the viewers did stay there until they got the DROPS. serious amount of casuals think main channel is the only way to get drops so there is that too. after that if you noticed valorant took a huge hit to 200k from 300k viewers in a matter of minutes then eventually tarik closed the gap and passed the main channel in the last two maps. if they let tarik stream before "red carpet" thing he couldve easily hit 350 400. they want be on top atleast for the grandfinals and thats understandable so its a smart trick by riot. i dont really know why i wanted to explain all of this but here you go.

https://twitter.com/EsportsCharts/status/1695581120182530473?s=20 for total. like i said because of drops and early start valo reached 307k in the middle of the first map but for both channels avg. viewership was 158000. that alone should tell you the story
