Do you guys think having a different tourney based on gender helping them to improve?
I m not against someone playing some game because they are that gender but i dont think so having a different tourney helping them improve
I dont think a gc team could qualify into t2 scene not because they are bad its because of having a different league for them
Low competition = less skill development
Instead riot should have invited gc teams for challengers split or have fixed slots for gc teams

GC is meant to grow and give opportunities for women and marginalized genders (riots words not mine).

Instead riot should have invited gc teams for challengers split or have fixed slots for gc teams

No, GC teams would get absolutely shit on in VCL leagues. it wouldn't be a good look to have a GC team to 0-5 in a league that's meant to be the best of the best that aren't in the VCT leagues. Hopefully in the future, GC will help grow talent that can compete in T2-T1 valorant. We are already seeing glimpses of a few players that have the talent but none of them have a team yet. Maybe next year we will see some new former GC players compete in VCL and maybe VCT.

that division is needed for right now as riot grows the league. if riot didint, not a single GC team could get past Ro32 in qualifiers

They can play in official tournaments if they want to, most do

GC is just to give them opportunities and recognition

Problem is most t1/good t2 teams don’t scrim gc teams since they see it as a waste of time

thats why im saying riot should have fixed slot for gc teams in challengers

I mean, more matches with t2 teams would def help them improve

Problem is they would get 13-0ed a bunch for the first couple of years

actually I think its: more matches = more improvement
rather than playing less games in the normal circuit because they get eliminated quickly. and slowly, bc they're developing, they'll have more success within the normal circuit

and either way, besides the actual gameplay, it brings a spotlight to womens valorant/esports alone so that's always a good thing

If GC teams went straight into challengers, they would get shit on because of the skill gap that exists currently, as well as a huge amount of shit from toxic members of the community for getting a free spot. Getting 13-0'd by M80 or the Guard wouldn't help a GC team. The best thing for them right now, in my opinion, is to keep playing it a separate circuit, naturally, build up the strongest teams in GC as more players join the league, and then play in the open qualifiers where they can get some close games and work off the feedback there.
